Principal Investigators

Cara Lewis, PhD

Dr. Lewis is an Associate Investigator at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI) and affiliate faculty in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Washington School of Medicine. She is site PI for the Kaiser Permanente Social Needs Network for Evaluation and Translation (SONNET) program. Her research focuses on advancing pragmatic and rigorous measures and methods for implementation science and practice and informing tailored implementation of evidence-based practices. Nora Henrikson, PhD

Dr. Nora Henrikson is an Assistant Investigator at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute. She is an investigator in the Kaiser Permanente Research Affiliates' Evidence-Based Practice Center. Her research focuses on patient experiences of clinical care, especially in oncology. Laura Gottlieb, MD, MPH

Dr. Gottlieb is an Associate Professor of Family and Community Medicine at the University of California, San Francisco and director of the Social Interventions Research and Evaluation Network (SIREN). She was an advisor on the RAISIN project. Read Dr. Gottlieb's full bio here.

Caroline Fichtenberg,  PhD

Dr. Fichtenberg is the Managing Director of the Social Interventions Research and Evaluation Network (SIREN). She is a public health researcher and advocate with over a decade of experience working to improve health and economic outcomes for America’s most vulnerable families. Research Team

Paula Blasi, MPH

Paula is a Research Associate at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI). She earned a Master of Public Health in the Community-Oriented Public Health Practice program at University of Washington in 2015. Since joining KPWHRI, she has worked on projects that aim to reduce health care costs and improve patient experience and population health. Paula worked with the project research specialists to develop review protocols and carry out article reviews and data abstraction.

Caitlin Dorsey, BAH

Caitlin joined Dr. Lewis’ research team at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI) after earning an honor’s Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Indiana University. Caitlin has contributed to several systematic review projects, including the Instrument Review Project, led by Dr. Lewis, which aims to advance implementation science through measure development and evaluation. Caitlin served as a reviewer and data abstractor on the RAISIN project.

Kayne Mettert, BAH

Kayne earned an honor’s Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Indiana University, where he worked with Dr. Lewis. Since joining Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI) in 2016, Kayne has worked on the Instrument Review Project and other systematic reviews focused on measure development and evaluation. His primary research interest is in measurement issues in implementation of evidence-based practices. Kayne was a reviewer and data abstractor on the RAISIN project.

Callie Walsh-Bailey, MPH

Callie is a Research Specialist who came to Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI) after earning a Master of Public Health with a concentration in International Health from Oregon State University. Since joining KPWHRI, Callie has worked on several systematic reviews and quality improvement projects focusing on implementation science and primary care. Her research interests include implementation science, chronic disease prevention, and social determinants of health and health equity.  She served as one of the reviewers and data abstractors on the RAISIN project.

Consuelo Marin Norris, MA

Consuelo is a Research Project Manager at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI), and managed project operations for the RAISIN team. She has a Master’s Degree in Ethics and Public Policy from the University of Essex, UK. She has worked in various ethics review boards, in the global health arena providing evidence-based research to the areas of HIV/AIDS, program implementation, and capacity building. She joined KPWHRI in April 2016 and works in a large portfolio of evidence-based research studies.

Matt Nguyen

Matt is a Programmer at Kaiser Permanente Washington Health Research Institute (KPWHRI). He builds databases and provides data support for a wide array of research teams. Matt served as the database architect for the RAISIN project and prepared data outputs.
