Social & Community Context
The immediate social setting in which people live or in which something happens or develops. It includes the culture that an individual was educated or lives in, and the institutions with whom they interact.

Discrimination
The treatment of or making a distinction in favor of or against a person based on the group, class, or category to which the person is perceived to belong rather than on their individual attributes.
Incarceration
A state of imprisonment (e.g. prison, jail, juvenile detention, etc.).
Social Integration
The principles by which individuals or actors interact/relate with one another in society. It can also refer to the process which newcomers or minorities are incorporated in to the social structure of the host society.
Social Support Systems
Emotional support and tangible assistance from interpersonal networks of friends, families, or communities. Isolation or loneliness would be a reverse measure of this construct.
Community Engagement
Participating in projects or initiatives to improve the wellbeing of a group of people who live in the same geographic area, have shared interests, or have similar life situations.
Immigration/Refugee Status
An individual’s status and degree of documentation as an immigrant or refugee, as well as any needs for assistance related to that status.
